Dr. Shivajirao Patil Nilangekar The Ex. Chief Minister of
Maharashtra, an educationist & philanthropist, is the President of
the Governing Body of the Institution. Under his stewardship, the
institute has progressed in the last TWENTY-FIVE years.
The institute was established in 1983 underthe auspices of Maharashtra state. It is
spread over a sprawling area of 23 acres withRCC and Steel structures housing various
instructional areas, Laboratories, Workshops,Library, Playrooms, Boy’s and Girl’s Hostels,
Eating House etc.
The campus is situatedin Semi-Urban areawhere the studentsare free from airpollution. It has all the infrastructure necessary for living in the 21st century with all the facilities for learning and teaching, including internet, library as well as the necessary recreation centre like Cinema Hall. The climate is normally dry during january to June. It is pleasant during fall and winter i.e. from July to February. The maximum and minimum temperature 37 and 16 degrees Celsius. The rainfall is during July and September admeasuring @600mm.

The prime objective of the management is to impart technical education confirming to the
international standards within the framework of the SRTM University. In addition of creatingan able competent Engineer, the management shares the responsibility of creating responsible,well mannered and cultured citizen of free and developing India to lead in the new millennium.
1. The student should have secured minimum 150 marks out of 300 in Physics, Chemistry
& Mathematics at XII or Intermediate science of state board’s examinations. The student
should not have passed earlier than TWO years of the year of admission. OR
2. Passed Diploma with 50% marks in aggregate of State Technical Education Board.
